Unimer Increases Its Losses in the First Half of 2025
The first half of 2025 was challenging for the Unimer Group, marked by delays in the fishing campaign. The consolidated revenue for this period reached 392 million dirhams, a decrease from 570 million dirhams during the same period last year. The consolidated gross operating surplus for the first half of 2025 was 16 million dirhams, down from 30 million dirhams in the previous year. The consolidated net result for the Group stood at -41 million dirhams, compared to -30 million dirhams for the same period last year. Looking ahead, Unimer is entering the second half of 2025 with more favorable prospects. The gradual recovery of the sardine fishing campaign, confirmed in the third quarter, is expected to boost the canned goods sector. An increase in sales volumes, coupled with rising prices, will enhance productivity and improve profitability. Confident in its ability to meet market demand, the Unimer Group reaffirms its optimism regarding the improvement of its annual results.
