SBM: Revenue Up 5.8% in the First Half of 2025
The Société des Boissons du Maroc (SBM) continues its development with a strong performance in the second quarter of 2025. Consolidated revenue reached 830 million dirhams, marking a 9.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The social revenue showed an even more significant rise of 16.4%, reaching 794 million dirhams. This growth reflects the dynamic model of SBM and the positive momentum initiated at the beginning of the year, particularly supported by the launch of locally produced Carlsberg beers, which enhance the Group's offering in the premium segment. The Group's commercial dynamics are bolstered by the strengthening of its flagship brands. Beer sales have seen substantial growth, driven by the popularity of iconic brands such as Spéciale Gold and Casablanca. The soft drinks segment also confirms its growth, fueled by the success of La Cigogne, a true icon of local brands. Additionally, the wine segment shows encouraging growth, contributing to the overall results of the quarter. For the entire first half of 2025, SBM reported consolidated revenue of 1,181 million dirhams, up 5.8% from the previous year. This performance underscores the effectiveness of the Group's commercial strategy, its adaptability to market challenges, and the resilience of its brands in an environment marked by rising Internal Consumption Tax (TIC) on beers and inflationary pressures. SBM approaches the second half of the year with confidence and ambition, focused on innovation, consumer engagement, and sustainable value creation. INVESTMENTS In the second quarter of 2025, SBM continued its investment efforts with a consolidated amount of 37 million dirhams, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the Group's growth dynamics. These strategic investments have notably strengthened the beer segment through the acquisition of returnable packaging, aligning with sustainable development and logistical optimization goals. Furthermore, the adaptation of production lines and regular improvements to the retail outlets in the Nicolas network illustrate SBM's desire to provide an increasingly qualitative and modern customer experience. FINANCIAL SITUATION AND CASH FLOW At the end of the first half of 2025, the Société des Boissons du Maroc has a financial surplus of 253 million dirhams. CONSOLIDATION SCOPE The consolidation scope remains unchanged compared to the second quarter of 2024. PROSPECTS The Société des Boissons du Maroc is determined to continue implementing its strategic investment program, a key driver of its ambition for continuous innovation. By developing products that align closely with the expectations of Moroccan consumers, SBM confirms its commitment to staying attuned to market trends. This proactive approach is part of a broader vision to consolidate the Group's positions while fostering sustainable and shared value creation with all stakeholders. SBM thus looks forward to the coming months with confidence, supported by a clear strategy, strong brands, and an adaptability that is its strength.
