Lesieur Cristal: Significant Decrease in Results for the First Half of 2025

The first half of 2025 saw an increase in sales volumes, driven by intensified commercial efforts across several segments in a highly competitive environment. This momentum helped offset the decline in selling prices within a changing market. The table oils segment experienced continuous innovation efforts, leading to the launch of a new blend of sunflower and olive oil, designed to meet consumer demands for healthy and balanced nutrition. The soap division also confirmed its positive momentum, thanks in part to the favorable reception of innovations introduced in 2024. Lesieur Cristal's revenue reached 2,824 MDh by the end of June 2025, marking a 4% increase compared to the same period last year. The evolution of EBITDA in the first half of 2025 reflects a comparison with the first half of 2024, which was characterized by favorable conditions. The previous year benefited from the extension of the 2023 agricultural campaign into 2024, significantly boosting volumes and supporting the profitability of the olive oil business. In this context, EBITDA decreased to 130 MDh; however, the group continues to implement its operational efficiency and cost control initiatives, which remain a constant focus of its competitiveness and resilience strategy. The net profit attributable to the group fell to 12 MDh as of June 30, 2025, down from 79 MDh on June 30, 2024, representing an 85% decline. The semester was also marked by advancements in sustainability and energy transition, including the acquisition of a biomass boiler aimed at increasing the substitution rate of fuel with olive pomace from the current 30% to 90%. Additionally, an energy audit has established an ambitious new roadmap to reduce carbon footprint by over 50% by 2030 compared to 2020 levels. Looking ahead, the group approaches the second half of 2025 with the intention of consolidating its innovation momentum and commercial efforts. Continuing its operational efficiency initiatives, Lesieur Cristal aims for a gradual return of its results to normative levels.
