Iran Considers Nuclear Negotiations with the United States Amid Rising Tensions

U.S. Military Pressure Intensifies
In a significant escalation of military presence, the United States has deployed an aircraft carrier to the region, signaling heightened tensions with Iran. This move comes as President Donald Trump refrains from executing threats of intervention during the ongoing crackdown on anti-government protests in Iran.
Potential for Diplomatic Engagement
Last week, President Trump indicated that 'serious talks' were taking place between Washington and Tehran. This announcement followed remarks from Iranian official Ali Larijani, who confirmed on social media platform X that discussions aimed at initiating negotiations were in progress.
Conditions for Resuming Negotiations
Sources within Iran have disclosed to Reuters that President Trump has outlined three critical preconditions for the resumption of negotiations. These include a complete halt to uranium enrichment activities in Iran, restrictions on its ballistic missile program, and an end to Tehran's support for regional armed groups such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen.
