In a video message shared on his Truth Social platform, President Trump, currently spending the weekend in Florida, detailed the ambitious goals of a forthcoming military operation against Iran.
"We will destroy their missiles and obliterate their missile industry," he declared, adding, "We will decimate their navy."
Dressed in a white cap emblazoned with 'USA' and standing behind a podium featuring the presidential seal, Trump spoke against a backdrop of flags and a navy blue curtain.
"Our objective is to protect the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime," he justified.
A Message to the Iranian People
Addressing the Iranian populace, Trump proclaimed, "The time for your freedom is at hand."
"When we are done, seize power," he urged, asserting that this might be their only chance in several generations.
Warnings of Imminent Danger
Trump cautioned that the ongoing operation would be extensive, advising, "Stay safe. Do not leave your homes. It is very dangerous to go outside. Bombs will be falling everywhere."
Potential American Casualties
In his address, the president did not mention any Congressional authorization for the operation, but he warned Americans that "brave American heroes may lose their lives, and we could face casualties."
"They will never have a nuclear weapon," he stated regarding Iranian leaders, asserting that Tehran had "rejected all opportunities" to abandon its nuclear ambitions during discussions with the United States.

"To the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, the armed forces, and all police, I say today that you must lay down your arms and receive total immunity, or face certain death," threatened the 79-year-old billionaire.
Trump accused Iran of committing "mass terrorism" repeatedly since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, asserting, "We will not tolerate it any longer."
