As part of its international development strategy, AKDITAL has signed a memorandum of understanding for the acquisition of 100% of the capital of Taoufik Hospitals Group (THG) for a total value of $90 million. The completion of this transaction is subject to obtaining the usual regulatory approvals.
Founded in 2014, Taoufik Hospitals Group operates four private hospital facilities in Tunisia, with a total capacity of over 600 beds, including 100 intensive care beds. THG employs more than 1,600 staff and has a network of over 500 partner physicians. Each of its facilities is positioned as a center of excellence, particularly in oncology, neurology, functional rehabilitation, traumatology, interventional cardiology, and a comprehensive multidisciplinary offering. They serve both local and international patients, notably from neighboring countries and sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2024, the Tunisian group achieved solid performance with a consolidated revenue of over $45 million, and an EBITDA margin and net margin of 35% and 13%, respectively. The 2025 guidance indicates a growth of approximately 15%, driven mainly by the oncology sector. THG's model is based on high standards of care quality and safety, as evidenced by its international and local accreditations (HAS, INEAS).
This acquisition is part of a complementary strategy between the two groups, both in terms of medical expertise and organizational models. It aims to create a platform for the exchange of skills and operational know-how while promoting mobility and talent development. It also opens up prospects for enhanced medical cooperation.
Following its initial establishments in the Middle East, including Abdul Rahman Al Mishari Hospital in Riyadh and Bishri Hospital in Mecca, this operation marks AKDITAL's first establishment in North Africa outside of Morocco. Through this acquisition, the group reaffirms its ambition to build a regional growth platform based on medical excellence and skill development.
