Following the Board of Directors meeting, Hassan Mounir announced his intention to step down as CEO of Cosumar due to health reasons, having reached retirement age. The Board paid tribute to Mounir, expressing gratitude for his work and commitment over four decades to Cosumar and the Moroccan sugar industry as a whole.
Given his extensive experience, the Board expressed a desire for Mounir to continue advising the Cosumar Group. Subsequently, the Board decided to appoint Imad Ghammad as the new CEO of Cosumar effective immediately.
Imad Ghammad joined the Cosumar Group in 2006 and has held several strategic roles within the company. In 2010, he became a member of the Executive Committee and was appointed Deputy CEO in December 2023. Ghammad has played a key role in the development and implementation of various major transformation projects for the Cosumar Group.
The Board of Directors extended its best wishes for success to the new CEO and assured him of their support.
