Election of New Leadership

The Board of Directors convened to discuss the progress of the current sugar campaign, which has benefited from significant rainfall across various production basins.

These recent precipitation levels have notably improved the Kingdom's water conditions, creating a favorable environment for the ongoing agricultural campaign and enhancing the positive outlook for future sugar crop areas.

Tribute to Hassan Mounir

The board acknowledged the decision of Hassan Mounir to step down from his role as president of FIMASUCRE. Members expressed their gratitude for Mounir's significant contributions to the federation and the development of the sugar industry in Morocco.

Mounir, a distinguished leader, has held several high-ranking positions, including Deputy General Director of sugar subsidiaries and General Director of COSUMAR. His leadership has driven major strategic advancements in agricultural upstream operations through the integration of new technologies and the digitalization of the sugar sector.

Under his guidance, the industry has seen sustainable improvements in agricultural performance, increased farmer incomes, and enhanced resilience within the national sugar supply chain.
