Foreign Exchange Market: The Dirham Appreciates by 0.5% Against the Dollar from December 18 to 24

During the period from December 18 to 24, no auction operations were conducted in the foreign exchange market, according to BAM's recent weekly indicators bulletin.
As of December 19, official reserve assets reached 438.2 billion dirhams (MMDH), reflecting a 0.5% increase week-on-week and a 17.4% rise year-on-year, as reported by the same source.
Regarding BAM's interventions, the average daily volume amounted to 157.4 MMDH, distributed among 7-day advances (67.5 MMDH), longer-term repos (51.4 MMDH), and secured loans (38.5 MMDH).
In the interbank market, the average daily trading volume was recorded at 5.7 MMDH, with the interbank rate standing at 2.25%. During the auction on December 24 (value date December 25), the Bank injected 69.3 MMDH in the form of 7-day advances.
