Official Reserve Holdings

As of February 6, 2026, official reserve assets reached 454.3 billion dirhams (MAD), marking a weekly increase of 0.4% and a substantial year-on-year rise of 23.1%.

Bank Al-Maghrib Interventions

During the week of February 5 to 11, 2026, Bank Al-Maghrib's interventions averaged 152.6 billion MAD daily. This volume included 60.6 billion MAD in 7-day advances, 53.3 billion MAD in longer-term repos, and 38.7 billion MAD in secured loans.

Interbank Market Activity

On the interbank market, the average daily trading volume was 2.2 billion MAD, with the interbank rate averaging 2.25%.

Auction Results

In the auction held on February 11, 2026, with a value date of February 12, 2026, the Bank injected 55.2 billion MAD in the form of 7-day advances.

Stock Market Performance

The MASI index declined by 0.5% during the same week, bringing its year-to-date performance to -2.6%. This downturn was primarily driven by a 2% drop in the transport services index, a 0.7% decrease in the building and construction materials index, a 3.5% fall in the health sector, a 3.1% decline in the electricity index, and a 1.2% reduction in the mining index.

Weekly Trading Volume

Weekly trading volume increased from 2 billion MAD to 2.4 billion MAD, with 1.7 billion MAD executed on the central equity market, 450 million MAD related to RISMA's capital increase operation, and 240.3 million MAD on the block market.
