Cosumar: Revenue Up 7.6% in the First Half of 2025
The 2025 harvest campaign took place under satisfactory operational conditions, despite a slow start to the year marked by low rainfall. This was made possible by the strong mobilization of all agricultural partners and the support from COSUMAR teams on the ground. Export activities benefited from the expanded refining capacity at the Sidi Bennour refinery, which helped consolidate the Group's resilience and maintain its position as a leader in the global refined white sugar market, even amid unfavorable international sugar market conditions during the first half of 2025. Consolidated revenue for the first half of 2025 reached 5,362 million dirhams, reflecting a 7.6% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth is attributed to the rise in export sales volumes. During the first half of the year, COSUMAR's net debt increased compared to the end of December 2024. Investments recorded in the first half of 2025 amounted to 92 million dirhams, primarily focused on ongoing upgrades and maintenance of industrial tools. Looking ahead, the 2024-2025 campaign has seen a significant increase in local sugar production, driven by the expansion of harvested areas. Preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 sugar campaign are underway, with ambitious goals for agricultural performance and sugar production from sugarcane. The refining capacity at the Sidi Bennour refinery, along with the expected increase in local production, will enable COSUMAR to seize opportunities in the international market and increase export volumes compared to the previous year.
