UCITS: Led by Majid Bennis, Quantum Capital Gestion Receives Its First Approvals from the AMMC
At the end of October, the AMMC granted its first fund approvals to Quantum Capital Gestion. This independent firm is reportedly backed by a quartet poised to attract institutional investors. Quantum Capital Gestion is led by Majid Bennis, a seasoned professional in financial markets, well-known among operators and with experience in international banking groups. In Morocco, he distinguished himself by managing the subsidiary of Attijariwafa Bank's Investment and Market Banking division in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Supporting him is a prominent Moroccan institutional player, the Best Financière group led by Zouhair Bennani, along with two international firms specializing in emerging and frontier markets: Impera Capital LLP, regulated by the FCA in London, and CdR Capital, supervised by FINMA in Switzerland and active in the Middle East. With this consortium, Quantum Capital Gestion joins the exclusive circle of management companies with specialized international shareholders, which will likely enable it to develop cross-border activities and synergies. The firm arrives at a particularly opportune moment, as a new law is set to enhance asset management practices and foster innovation in offerings. Recently, the management company received its first approvals from the AMMC for a Medium to Long-Term Bond UCITS, an OCT UCITS, and an Equity UCITS.
