Tourism: Morocco Surpasses 2024 Foreign Currency Earnings Threshold by October 2025

As of the end of October 2025, Morocco's travel receipts have reached 113 billion dirhams, surpassing the total earnings for the entire year of 2024.
During the same period, the growth has been remarkable, with an increase of over 16 billion dirhams, representing a 17% rise compared to the end of October 2024. This performance is primarily attributed to a 14% increase in tourist arrivals by the end of October.
The results also reflect the growing attractiveness of Morocco's tourism offerings, which are diversifying to better meet the evolving expectations and preferences of tourists.
Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, stated, “These results confirm our conviction: we are not pursuing numbers for the sake of numbers. What we seek is precisely this type of growth, which generates more foreign currency earnings, and thus more economic activity and more jobs for Moroccans. This is the trajectory we will consolidate starting in 2026.”
