Morocco's tourism sector has achieved remarkable growth, welcoming 2.7 million arrivals in July 2025. This increase includes both foreign tourists and Moroccans residing abroad, highlighting the country's ongoing appeal to these two segments.
Specifically, foreign tourist arrivals reached 875,000, marking a 2% increase compared to July 2024. Meanwhile, 1.8 million Moroccans living abroad chose to visit Morocco in July, reflecting a 7% growth.
These results indicate a strong and sustained momentum in the tourism sector, with a total of 11.6 million tourists recorded by the end of July 2025. This figure represents a 16% increase from the same period in 2024, with 52% of the visitors being Moroccans living abroad.
Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, stated, “Morocco continues to be a beloved destination for millions of tourists worldwide, both for discovery and for heartfelt connections. The positive tourism momentum persists, driven by local tourists, our diaspora, and foreign visitors.”
This growth is part of a broader strategy that emphasizes a constant understanding of tourist expectations and a sustainable commitment to enhancing the travel experience, aligned with the priorities outlined in the tourism roadmap for 2023-2026.
