Japanese stocks followed the upward trend of Wall Street, buoyed by hopes of a Federal Reserve interest rate cut following a lower-than-expected U.S. consumer price index for July. Analysts noted that easing concerns over U.S. tariffs also contributed to the positive market sentiment.
