Nasser Seddiqi appointed new CEO of the Casablanca Stock Exchange
Mr. Nasser Seddiqi will officially take up his position as CEO of the Casablanca Stock Exchange on January 19, 2026. He brings over 25 years of experience in financial regulation, asset management, and market governance, gained at the AMMC and various international institutions. His expertise is expected to be a significant asset in the strategic development of the Casablanca Stock Exchange. The Board of Directors has expressed its confidence in Mr. Seddiqi and wishes him success in his new role. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Director of the Business Division at the AMMC, overseeing market supervision, asset management, and issuers. He has also played a key role in major initiatives such as sustainable finance and the futures market. Mr. Seddiqi was the former President of the Coordination Body for the Futures Market from 2022 to 2025 and has been involved in several international organizations, including IOSCO and IFREFI. He began his career in Paris at an international audit firm, where he worked for several years in audit and consulting. After various international experiences in the banking and asset management sectors, Mr. Seddiqi joined the AMMC in 2009, where he held several responsible positions before being appointed Director of the Business Division. He holds a French state accounting diploma and several international certifications related to capital market development and financial regulation, including "The Global Certificate Program for Regulators of Securities Markets" awarded by Harvard Law School in partnership with IOSCO.
