The recent decline in the USD/MAD exchange rate is attributed to a negative basket effect of 0.43%, resulting from the dollar's weakening against the euro. Additionally, there was a slightly positive liquidity effect of 0.03%, indicating a minor tightening of liquidity conditions for the dirham, as explained by AGR in their latest report, "Weekly Mad Insights - Currencies." In this context, liquidity spreads have eased by 2.6 basis points to -2.76% during the week. Furthermore, AGR recommends that operators hedge their transactions for a period of 1 to 3 months.
