Fez: Launch of a Call for Expressions of Interest for Tourism Investment Projects

The Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Fez-Meknes announced on Monday the launch of a Call for Expressions of Interest to select investors for tourism investment projects. These projects will be developed on three plots of land owned by the municipality of Fez, with the goal of promoting investment in the city, enhancing its tourism facilities, and boosting tourist activities, according to the CRI.
The projects focus on the development of tourist accommodations on three parcels, with two lots designed for R+6 construction and one lot for R+4, allowing for the possibility of two additional floors. This includes hotels, suites, restaurants, and leisure and entertainment spaces.
This call for expressions of interest is open to corporate entities with the necessary expertise and a solid financial foundation, in accordance with the conditions outlined in the specifications.
Tourism is a key economic sector for the region and its capital, Fez, contributing 8.1% to the national tourism GDP and generating an added value of 3.3 million dirhams. The sector is experiencing strong growth, particularly driven by the increasing demand for cultural products in Fez.
Fez-Meknes is positioning itself as a qualified tourist destination known as "Morocco Center," distinguished by its "Culture and Well-being" tourism product as part of the 2020 vision. To support this dynamic, 19 tourism projects with an investment of 938.5 million dirhams were launched under the State-Region Program Contract 2020-2022.
