Crédit Agricole Group of Morocco and Mastercard Join Forces to Strengthen Cybersecurity for Businesses

This initiative reflects the Group's ambition to sustainably support its clients in a digital environment where risk management is a key factor for trust, resilience, and development.
Cybersecurity experts from Crédit Agricole Group of Morocco presented an overview of current threats, sharing emerging trends, experiences, and concrete cases observed both in Morocco and internationally. They emphasized that increasingly targeted and sophisticated attacks can directly impact business operations.
In this context, the Group highlighted the actions it is taking to sustainably secure its digital services and the payment ecosystem. These include continuous enhancement of prevention and detection measures, proactive fraud prevention, improved response capabilities, and a regular awareness program for its clients. The goal is to build a shared digital trust, essential for accelerating digital usage safely.
A high-level roundtable brought together several experts, including representatives from the General Directorate of Information Systems Security (DGSSI) under the National Defense Administration, the Ministry of Digital Transition, media, and other institutions. Discussions underscored the importance of close coordination among institutions, private actors, and businesses to strengthen a reliable and secure digital environment.
The exchanges also highlighted the central role of awareness, risk anticipation, and the systematic integration of cybersecurity into digital transformation strategies. Mastercard enriched the meeting by sharing lessons learned from global cyber crisis management situations, illustrating best practices that enable organizations to enhance their preparedness and response capabilities.
This collaboration also marks a first in North Africa: it is the first cybersecurity awareness event organized by Mastercard in partnership with a regional bank, confirming the importance placed on digital trust within the digital payment ecosystem. Through "Corporate Talks – CyberAwareness," Crédit Agricole Group of Morocco reaffirms that cybersecurity is a strategic priority for protecting its clientele, preserving digital trust, and responsibly supporting the digital transformation of the economic ecosystem.
