Construction: Business Leaders Anticipate Increased Activity in Q3-2025 (HCP)
The anticipated growth in the construction sector is attributed to increased activity in civil engineering and specialized construction, alongside a decline in building construction, according to a report from the HCP. This information is based on quarterly surveys of economic conditions in manufacturing, extraction, energy, environment, and construction sectors. In the second quarter of 2025, the construction sector reportedly experienced an increase in activity. This growth is linked to the rise in civil engineering and specialized construction, while a downturn was noted in building construction. Order books in the construction sector remained at a normal level, and employment showed stagnation. Under these circumstances, the production capacity utilization rate in construction was recorded at 72%. The HCP also noted that 11% of companies in the sector faced difficulties in sourcing raw materials during Q2-2025. Additionally, 30% of business leaders described their cash flow situation as "difficult."
