
The Casablanca Stock Exchange reported a positive start to the week, with the Masi index reaching a new peak of 19,967.74 points during the session. It ultimately closed at 19,843.43 points, reflecting a modest increase of 0.12%. Year-to-date, the index has achieved a performance of 34.32%.
The MASI 20 index, which includes the most liquid stocks, rose by 0.19% to reach 1,627.21 points. Trading activity was strong, with a total market volume exceeding 353 million dirhams, of which 346 million dirhams were traded on the central market.
TGCC led the trading volume with 76 million dirhams at a price of 1,070 dirhams, marking an increase of 1.42%. Alliances generated 30 million dirhams in trades at 550 dirhams, after reaching an intraday high of 565 dirhams. Vicenne, however, saw a decline of 3.08% to 442 dirhams with a trading volume of 20 million dirhams.
In terms of performance, Colorado recorded the highest increase of the session, gaining 10% to reach 75.03 dirhams. Fenie Brossette also saw a rise of 4.87%, closing at 538 dirhams. The total market capitalization now stands at 1,046 billion dirhams.
At the end of the session, the balance of variations leaned towards declines, with six stocks remaining unchanged.
In other news, the Casablanca Stock Exchange is looking at potential beneficiaries of the Gharb hydraulic mega-project. LabelVie has maintained its buy recommendation for Saham Capital, indicating a potential upside of 36.9%. Additionally, Bank Al-Maghrib reported a decrease in the overall debtor interest rate to 4.84% in Q2 2025.
