Casablanca Stock Exchange: The MASI Index Takes a Breather After Recent Highs
The Casablanca Stock Exchange took a break this Wednesday, with stock indices trending downward, putting a halt to the gains of previous sessions. The MASI index fell by 0.56% to close at 19,085.27 points, while still maintaining a solid +29.19% year-to-date performance. The MASI 20 followed the same trend, declining by -0.66% to 1,568.32 points, while the MASI ESG dropped -0.86% to 1,310.99 points. Trading volumes remained modest at 316 million dirhams, mainly on the central market. Vicenne continued to lead transactions with 103 million dirhams traded. The stock fell by 6.18% to 392 dirhams, recording the session’s steepest decline, ahead of TGCC (30 million MAD) and BCP (28 million MAD). The total market capitalization slightly decreased to 1,005 billion dirhams.
