Casablanca Stock Exchange: The MASI Ends the Week on a High Note, Construction Sector Leads the Way
The Casablanca Stock Exchange concluded the week positively, marking its fourth consecutive session of gains. The MASI index increased by 0.46%, closing at 19,636.52, which brings its weekly gain to nearly 1%. The annual increase now stands at +32.92%. The MASI 20 index, which includes the largest market capitalizations, followed a similar trend, recording a daily gain of +0.25% and closing at 1,603.01 points, successfully surpassing the symbolic threshold of 1,600 points. Market activity remained robust on the central market, with a trading volume of 561 million dirhams, bringing the weekly total to 2.327 billion dirhams. TGCC reported a gain of 1.26% on a volume of 125 million dirhams, closing at 961 dirhams. Jet Contractors attracted 44 million dirhams, closing at 2,700 dirhams, while LafargeHolcim Maroc totaled 42 million dirhams at 1,948 dirhams. Another notable performer was Attijariwafa Bank, with 37 million dirhams traded at 777 dirhams. In terms of top performers, Managem saw an increase of +4.17%, closing at 6,250 dirhams. The overall market capitalization is now at 1.036 trillion dirhams. In other news, Aradei Capital has launched Elevate, its Retail Media agency. Innovative financing is expected to mobilize 20 billion dirhams by 2026, followed by a gradual decline. Bank Al-Maghrib reported a slowdown in the money supply to +7.8% in September.
