Market Performance Overview

At the close of trading, the MASI index recorded a significant increase of 4.18%, reaching 17,351.61 points. This performance not only marked a session high but also helped to diminish its annual losses to 7.93%.

Similarly, the MASI 20 index, which tracks the largest liquid capitalizations, followed suit, ending the day at 1,316.05 points.

Trading Activity

Trading activity was notably vibrant, with a total turnover of 545 million dirhams on the central market.

Marsa Maroc led the transactions, generating 101 million dirhams in trades at a price of 754.90 dirhams, reflecting a rise of 4.85% after reaching a daily high of 759 dirhams.

Attijariwafa Bank also experienced a positive session, advancing by 3.36% to 708 dirhams with a trading volume of 78.6 million dirhams.

Maroc Telecom (IAM) confirmed its appeal, attracting 57 million dirhams in trades at a price of 93.50 dirhams, which is an increase of 1.63%.

Top Performers and Decliners

In terms of performance, Stokvis Nord Afrique recorded the highest increase of the session, soaring by 9.99% to 76.94 dirhams.

Lesieur Cristal also saw a substantial rise of 9.99%, closing at 320.95 dirhams, while Cosumar gained 9.98% to reach 165.35 dirhams.

Conversely, SMI and Managem were among the biggest losers of the day, declining by 2.45% to 6,799 dirhams and 1.05% to 8,302 dirhams, respectively.

Market Capitalization

The market capitalization of the Casablanca Stock Exchange now stands at nearly 972 billion dirhams.
