The weekly performance reflects a 2.44% decrease, ending a two-week streak of gains. The correction occurred amidst notably high trading volumes, with total transactions amounting to 4.4 billion dirhams, including 3.35 billion on the central market and 1.05 billion on the block market. For the week, cumulative trading volumes reached 6.28 billion dirhams, indicating typical end-of-year portfolio rebalancing and arbitrage activities. SGTM, which had seen significant buying pressure since its IPO, experienced a notable correction, dropping nearly 10% with an exceptional trading volume exceeding 1.95 billion dirhams. This session marks the beginning of a normalization phase following its rapid price increase post-IPO. The decline affected major stocks as well. Marsa Maroc fell by 1.87% to 955 dirhams, with a trading volume of 221 million dirhams. Akdital saw a decrease of 2.24% to 1,090 dirhams, with 213 million dirhams traded. Attijariwafa Bank also declined by 2.83% to 720 dirhams, on a volume of 203 million dirhams. Conversely, some stocks performed well, with Sanlam Maroc leading the gains, rising by 9.88% to 2,280 dirhams. In other market news, the Treasury repurchased 11 billion dirhams of government bonds, while silver and gold reaffirmed their status as safe havens. Akdital's core team reassured the market following the end of the lock-up period for its shares. Additionally, there was a slight consolidation in mutual fund assets, totaling 810.8 billion dirhams.
