
The Casablanca Stock Exchange slightly mitigated its losses on Wednesday, following a pressured opening after a significant decline the previous day. The MASI index dropped by 0.53% at the close, finishing at 18,199.30 points, after reaching a daily low of 18,064.53 points. This brings its year-to-date performance to +23.19%.
Market activity on the central market remained moderate, with a total volume of 469 million dirhams. Akdital led the trading charts with 101 million dirhams processed at 1,220.00 dirhams, showing little change from the previous day after hitting an intraday low of 1,159.00 dirhams.
Attijariwafa Bank continued its correction, declining by 2.05% to 715.00 dirhams on a volume of 49 million dirhams, while Marsa Maroc fell by 1.65% to 903.80 dirhams with a volume of 44 million dirhams. The market capitalization continued to decrease, settling at 965 billion dirhams.
On the downside, Sanlam Maroc erased some of its previous gains, dropping by 7.32% to 1,090 dirhams, while BMCI also fell by 7.32% to 533 dirhams.
