Business Leaders Anticipate Improvement in Activity for Q4-2025 (HCP)
The anticipated improvement in the construction sector is attributed to expected growth in civil engineering and specialized construction works, alongside stable activity in building construction, as explained by the HCP in a report on quarterly economic surveys of manufacturing, extractive, energy, environmental sectors, and construction. In the third quarter of 2025, the construction sector reportedly experienced an increase in activity. This growth is linked to the rise in civil engineering and specialized construction, while building construction activity remained stagnant. Order books in the construction sector were at a normal level, and employment saw an uptick. Under these circumstances, the capacity utilization rate (TUC) in the construction sector was recorded at 71%. The HCP also noted that 20% of construction companies faced difficulties in sourcing raw materials during Q3-2025. Additionally, 21% of business leaders described their cash flow situation as "difficult."
