Bond Market Update: Two-Year Yields Decline While Ten-Year Rates Adjust Upward

Market Overview

In the latest bond market activity, the amounts raised for two-year and ten-year maturities reached 1.42 billion dirhams and 2.08 billion dirhams, respectively. Notably, there were no subscriptions recorded for the 26-week and 20-year maturities.

Yield Movements

The two-year yield continued its downward trend, settling at 2.513%, which represents a decrease of 3 basis points from the previous rate of 2.543%. Conversely, the ten-year yield increased to 2.956%, marking a rise of 21.2 basis points from its last recorded rate of 2.744%.

Market Dynamics

This ongoing decline in the short-term segment, particularly for the two-year maturity, contrasts with the upward adjustment observed in the long-term segment. This shift may indicate a delayed response to earlier pressures seen in the shorter maturities.

Settlement Details

The settlement for these transactions is scheduled for March 2, 2026.
